“Very comfortable room with great views. Staff spoke English and were incredibly helpful. We were close to everything, shopping malls, restaurants and tourist attractions. I met and elderly Japanese gentleman one morning when we were visiting one of the shrines, he was sketching the shrine and was happy to show me his drawing. We found the locals very interesting to interact with. My husband found a pottery stall and purchased a beautiful tea cup and discovered that the woman running the stall was also the artist. Her work was amazing, using ancient techniques passed down for many generations.”
“Modern and well appointed hotel right at Nara railway station. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were more than willing to look after our bags before and after check-in. The buffet lunch at the restaurant was good value. The hotel is well located for local buses and tourist information but the main attractions of Nara Park are a 10 minute bus ride away (500 yen for a bus day-pass). Very good value for money. One fun note, there are photographs in the lobby showing visits to the hotel by various members of the Japanese royal family.”
