“Bed was insanely comfortable, room was nice but very dark as no main light, only lamps and one had a blown bulb. I called en route to check meal service as travelling a long way and was told as long as I arrived by 2245 all was fine. I arrived 2200 to be told the kitchen is closed but there’s a Nando’s over the road. I complained that I had been given different information an hour previously, to be told ‘well it wasn’t me said that and there is a Nando’s over the road’. Hmm... Bathroom wouldn’t win any cleanliness awards although it wasn’t appalling, layers of dust on radiator pipes so just attention to detail that was missing. Breakfast was fine both mornings and included in the very reasonable rate. Room service dinner on night 2 was lovely, good size portions, all still hot, but no condiments brought up with it. Who doesn’t have salt and ketchup with ham egg and chips? The food was lovely though and actually the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.”
