“Rooms are decorated to a unique (Horse racing) style, but very good to a high standard. Staff very friendly and nice. Food good and obviously a popular venue for locals. Lovely bar area sat in front of log fire in arm chair. Personalised breakfast, scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms not a problem.”

“Due to a booking mix up I ended up being upgraded to a bigger room, which turned out to be huge ! The room has some unusual decor but I found it very comfortable and I liked the literary theme. It was also very quiet the night I was there which was really appreciated as things are very noisy where I live at the moment due to construction works. Breakfast was lovely with nicely cooked scrambled eggs and fresh warm crossiants - and I was impressed with the helpful friendly service.”
