“Alken is a small place but with good restaurant, plenty of parking space and it's close to a lot of attractions within half-an-hour. The family who owns the hotel (and the restaurant and wine-tasting in the same building) is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is very good, with fresh eggs cooked on your order and good and varied ingredients. Our room was pretty large, with an exit to a communal balcony on the second floor.”

“Friendly and accommodating staff, quiet and comfortable room with view up the mountain to a small medieval castle surrounded by vineyards, and with stunning views over the River Mosel. Village is very pretty; great dining at the nearby tower restaurant. Clean room, excellent value with continental breakfast (including a bonus soft-boiled egg) included. Great café/bar at front of building.”

Only a 5 minute drive to the train station to go to Coblenz / Trier. Great Castle overlooking Alken which is a very pleasant walk from the hotel.”
