“The room was spacious, clean, and the decor was lovely - and had a balcony which would be great in summer (or ideal for people who smoke). Plenty of tea/coffee/milk etc sachets (often find in hotels this is sadly lacking). Very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Traditional Scottish decor, with tartan and stags heads, welcoming roaring fire. The food we had in the bar was plentiful and very good quality. The breakfast were plentiful and very good quality - whatever you want on the cooked breakfast and continental as well, as much as you want. Always busy and the staff coped well. Food service in the bar was also very prompt. We did not try the restaurant, but the menu looked good. Less expensive than many other hotels in the area.”
