“A relaxing and peaceful overnight stay before our flight. The location - very close to the airport but no noise passing aircraft The hotel did not feel like an airport hotel; it had retained independent charm and personal touches. This took away the stress and anxiety that you can feel in transitional hotels. It was easy to organise a transfer to the airport & the drivers were cheerful and helpful - even at 3.00am The grounds were beautiful & well cared for - but as we arrived so late in the evening we did not get an opportunity to explore them. Friendly staff - I rang ahead to check our booking details and to let them know that we would be arriving late in the evening. This was not a problem and even though we would be arriving after the restaurant would be closed they offered to make sandwiches for us. On our return the hotel was close enough to Bristol for us to enjoy a day shopping.”
“The dinner was excellent. The continental breakfast was very adequate (we were leaving early). The room and bathroom were excellent, with garden views, ( upgraded ). The owner was very happy to chat to us, and give us the history of the manor. We would be happy to stay longer.”
