Every person we met - and the crew did all the jobs (checked us in, drinks at the bar, server in the restaurant) - was smiling, helpful and willing to make our experience the best it could be. The other thing that was absolutely fantastic was the smoked haddock for dinner. Even when we were out on Islay later, and asking about smoked fish, they said you had to go to West Loch. It was the best meal we had the entire trip - the fish was excellent, but the smoky sauce on the smashed new potatoes was just as good.”
