“After requesting a lakeside room 8 months ago, we were surprised to arrive to a room with no view. We did upgrade to a lakeside room and this was superb - however an email from the hotel ahead of us arriving would have been more courteous.”

We have stayed at many hotels with likely a much higher star rating, but this hotel came out tops for the great feel, lovely gardens and perfect grass outside our door for us to wriggle our toes in. The lovely ambience and warm feel surprised us. Though an older hotel, the facilities were so clean, with cute 'kiwi' things such as an old radio in the room and toiletries that added a nice touch. Ease of parking was great too!”
