“The room was clean, well appointed, nice views across the road to period properties. The bed was, as promised, super large and extremely comfortable. The room was heated to a pleasant comfortable degree, the secondary double glazing filtered out road noise beautifully. The food, was perfectly suited to all tastes, and adaptations were made willingly to accommodate my specialised diet.it was well cooked, beautifully presented, and service (by the lovely Tess) could not be faulted. Martyn, the owner could not do enough for us,in fact by the time we had spent 4 hours in the Inn we were already planning our next stay.”
“After a very warm and genuine welcome by the owner we were led to a very quirky attic room. I am over 6 foot so a bit of beam dodging was required but the whole room was laid out very well. We ate in the bar sitting in front of a log fire which added to the atmosphere. Food was excellent and the young girl who served us was fantastic. A pity we were only there for one night. Highly recommended if you like your peace and quiet.”

“The Inn is so quirky and pretty and Martin is a DELIGHT. We missed our train and so missed lunch but he made us up and cheese plate and even gave us homemade chutney to bring home with us. The bed was comfy, shower was great, all in all a whimsical and pleasing place”

“We had a wonderful stay. Our room was In the oldest part of the building which dates back to late 1800s so you do have to watch your head on the beams! Martin could not have been more helpful and accommodating . The resturant food was delicious we will be back😁”
