“Hotel is in a beautiful spot by the river and surrounded by wooded hills. Pool is wonderful although closes at 6:30. Breakfast is good and is lovely eating outside overlooking the river. The room had lots of character as does the whole hotel- there's even a working water wheel in the reception and lots of old artefacts from the paper mill that the building was originally. Hotel well located for exploring beautiful walled city of Lucca.”

Except of the light in bathroom and lamp in bedroom everything worked properly; - the hotel in general was very nice, we enjoyed a lot the historical appearance of the hotel and the decoration; - breakfast was nice, eventhough it was the same every day. We loved the croissants! - there was a huge parking space so no problems with parking your car.”

“The setting is so beautiful. I arrived at night so when I opened the window in the morning it was an amazing sight to be greeted with. The hotel loans free bikes so you can get into town or explore the surrounding countryside, a lovely touch.”
“Nice and clean location, in an old building. The inner side is modernised. The place is authentic and has a style. The menu for dinner was correct (EUR 18), the white wine (Vigno del grappa, if I remember correctly) was excellent. The personel was friendly, especially the waitress in the restaurant.”
“The staff were very friendly happy and helpful. The actual building of the hotel was fascinating and in the Tuscany style and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was provided each morning as a buffet and the presentation of the meats, cheese and fruit was lovely. There was plenty of parking available. The swimming pool was excellent with plenty of sun loungers and the water temperature was just right. The New York restaurant was very good, although allow plenty of time to be served. We would certainly book another trip to this hotel in the future.”
