“Outside Florence set in peaceful gardens on the river Arno: this is wonderful hotel. The Villa is beautiful, full of antiques and art and well laid out. Our room (suite) was spacious with a good bed, large double bathroom, and a small but adequate livingroom. The staff were exemplary in their helpfulness and discreet attentions. The shuttle service to this city is very efficient. The breakfast is good with many homemade extra's and excellent quality breads. The bar is very well stocked and has a diverse menu that is available until quite late in the evening. If you are looking to avoid the crowds and the heat of central Florence, but still be within 15 minutes of the centre, then Vila La Massa should be on the shortlist!”
