“The cottage is gorgeous, lovely decor and beautiful flower arrangements throughout. Our room and bathroom was beautiful and we really enjoyed our break away. Ali made us feel very welcome and looked after us really well. The chocolate brownie that she had for us for when we arrived, the salmon nibbles before we went our for tea and the gorgeous breakfasts were all beautiful.”
“This property is gorgeous and the whole stay was made even more special by the owner Ali who is just fab! From the beautiful interiors, comfy beds & huge bathroom the villa has everything you need and more. .... it has a great feel about it, is cosy and homely. Ali is the best host, and even offered us some yummy soup when we arrived, so instead of going out for lunch we ate this with some French bread bought locally. The breakfast was amazing... hard to beat anywhere else. We most definitely will be recommending this to friends, and if you want your own private dinner party in house Ali says she can cook it for you - she is passionate about food!”

“The owner, Ali, was fantastic. Friendly reception, beautiful house, delicious food - my expectations were fully exceeded. My wife and I stopped through on our way from Christchurch to Queenstown and wish we planned to spend more time there. Akaroa is a friendly town and Villa 114 is in the heart of it. Ali greated us on our arrival and had an amazing Akaroa salmon dinner prepared with fresh local ingreadiants, after a long day of travel it was perfect! We had the entire house to ourselves which includes a full kitchen and great back patio. In the morning Ali came over with fresh local eggs and made the eggs benedict which is included in the pictures, what isn't pictured is the fresh fruit salad and other homemade selections including breads and jams that were available. Bottom line, a fantastic experience with a wonderful host who really knows her way around the kitchen.”
