“Venta Borrego made a very good overnight stop for us on a two day drive from Andalucia to Perpignan. Situated by the roadside inland from Alicante and off the motorway to Albacete it was very easy to find and was a comfortable stop over with a basic breakfast and a very good choice of food for our evening meal, beautifully cooked and very good value. No English was spoken (we were the only guests who were not Spanish) but the menu was available in English and French. There is a massive car park used by coaches and lorry drivers too. The staff were very welcoming and on arrival we were given a booklet in Spanish and English about the nearby small town of Bocairent perched on a hillside which we went to visit, a fascinating place with origins back to the Visigoths, Romans and the Moors. Plenty more to visit there if we stop off again in the future!”

“Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, das Essen wirklich lecker. Die Zimmer waren sauber, und mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht (außer vielleicht einem Föhn), die Klimaanlage hat super funktioniert, was bei diesen Temperaturen absolut notwendig war. Der Internetzugang hat auch funktioniert, man sollte aber darauf achten, dass das Zimmer in der Nähe des Routers liegt.”
