“Personnel nice and helpful. Rooms clean and fresh; the hotel area clean in general. Breakfast varied with vegetables. Pool area nice with a lot of sunbeds, although a bit cool water. Free bikes. Quite nice bar and dinner area. Long beach.”

“The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and had a good feel. I also had a terrace which due to the short stay I hardly used, but drying clothes was great. Beach is just 2min down the street and during the evenings it is very calm, but during the day it does get very busy. The pool at the Hotel is great and is open 8-20. The breakfast in the morning is great and the staff very friendly. Really nice relaxing atmosphere. I did only stay 1 night.”

“The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Shower was great. Breakfast was standard. The surrounding area of the Varo Village hotel is quite nice, although guests looking for tranquility will certainly be more pleased than guests looking for nightly entertainment. While not bad per se, we didn’t find the stone beach of Marina di Bibbona too impressive. However, there are quite a few really nice ones in the vicinity. For example, in less than 30 minutes (by car), you can get to an amazing sand beach south of San Vincenzo, with not many tourist but crystal-clear water. If you have a car at your disposal, the hotel can serve as a nice hub. It is e.g. only ~40 min to the beautiful cities of Pisa and Lucca or to Piombino, where you can take a ferry to Elba. However, be aware that connection to public transportation is really bad! Overall, we would recommend the Varo Village Hotel to anyone interested in staying in the region, despite some shortcomings.”

“Excellent price/quality relationship. I have spent a lot of time along the entire coast between Genova and Marina di Birbonna over the past 25 years. The pool doesn't have the 'assuming air' and furniture of 500 euro a night five star hotels near Forte Dei Marmi, however the actual pool is just as nice and peaceful (beautiful sound of birds). The staff is lovely. They speak multiple language sand are extremely helpful. Bicycles with children seats are free for two hours. Beach is 15 euro, a v. good deal for the price (excellent price/quality ratio). The sea is clean and beautiful. Dinner is 20 euro for three course meal and large apetizer buffet (if not included in half price pension). Air conditioning works well. Nice two room suite. Excellent breakfast. Wifi worked very well. TV worked very well. Large in room massage shower. We will be back!”
