“Useful location for town centre. Tumbler Ridge is the last British Columbian 'new town', built in the remote wilderness in the 1980s to exploit metallurgical coal deposits suitable Japanese steel making. The design was successful and even when the mine closed at the start of the new millennium the community managed to ensure its survival. It is many miles from other communities and has no suburbs: after driving through dense conifer forests, you suddenly arrive at a planned urban community! This hotel was built after my last visit and helps encourage tourism: there is little alternative accommodation for visitors.”
“Areal pleasant place to stay. As I like to walk for 2K.s every day the walking track was handy”
“I liked having a fridge and microwave plus some dishes in our room. Very convenient for an evening meal. Since the area is lacking in affordable restaurants we were able to pick up some basic groceries and have them on hand and kept fresh.”
“Hotel staff was very friendly. Went back to the hotel to grab an item i forgot, they had it clearly labeled and bagged.”
“Front desk staff were very helpful. We appreciated the breakfast as well.”
“Very nice hotel for the money in a beautiful location! We had everything we needed for our stay”
“Part of the reason my family and I travel to Tumbler Ridge so often for a weekend is how excellent it is to stay at this hotel. Very good value, we always get the Jacuzzi room which has a kitchen as well. Clean and and always smells nice. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.”
“Clean, friendly, cheap, and VERY comfortable. We had a King bed suite and were pleased with the arrangement. This is not a fancy five star place, but its not trying to be. Its very good value for money. We would stay here again.”
“Very friendly and helpful staff which was greatly appreciated after a long drive. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast included.”
“Location was pet friendly with nearby grass for animals.”
