“Hotel is in Omalos and caters primarily to walkers or tourists with a car. Hotel is traditional in design, level of comfort and service. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Restaurant has a limited range of traditional favourite meals. Free raki often comes at the end of the meal. We arrived at 9.00am expecting just to drop our bags but were able to check in. Hotel also offers free shuttle to Samaria gorge.”

“The staff here were absolutely amazing. So friendly, we immediately felt welcome. The restaurant had such great food, we think the stuffed tomatoes and bean soup has to be the best on the island (and were vegan for any of our plant based friends wondering if they might starve). The transfer to the top of gorge was good and it was nice to cut some travel time out and spend some time in a less tourist cramped area in a quiet serene place in the mountains!”
