“The Wynnstay is one of the friendliest, most welcoming hotels I've ever had the pleasure to stay at. Staff are helpful, friendly and chatty. I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious: we had dinner there one evening and the focus was on locally sourced produce and game. My partner had one of the nicest steaks he's ever had, and I had a delicious rabbit dish. The decor in the rooms is a dated, but the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and there was plentiful hot water in the shower plus tea and coffee making facilities. The decor in bar, restaurant and lounge was homely, quirky and cosy. I loved the large fireplace, and the room with sofas and chairs was delightfully relaxing for a post-dinner drink. There is good parking at the rear of the hotel, plus secure storage for bikes. I had such a good experience that, although I was visiting for a specific event, I'm planning on returning purely to stay at the hotel.”
