“ALL of the staff were amazing: so welcoming, friendly, helpful and caring. We stayed in 5 different hotels on this trip, and The White Hart staff were the best by far! We were overloaded with luggage, but they happily carried our heavy cases up two fights of narrow stairs. Our room was quite small but comfortable, as was the bed; a kettle AND coffee machine, iron and ironing board provided, as well as good quality toiletries in the en-suite shower room. The air-conditioner was much appreciated as the weather was unusually warm. The breakfast choice, quantity and quality was also superb, with staff happy to accommodate special requests and dietary requirements. The restaurant menu was a most welcome to change to 'run of the mill pub food'. Book ahead - not surprisingly, the restaurant is always busy! The Manager was open to, even sought, comments, ideas and suggestions about our room and general experience.”

“Couldn't recommend this place enough, I had some business training the next day and after having travelled 4 hours to get here it was the perfect little haven to relax for the night until an early start in the morning. Facilities, staff and location was brilliant, only thing I would comment is there was no parking however I managed to use the local Waitrose to park overnight.”

“Lovely bath - lots of fluffy white towels - bed was also very comfy - nice large tv. Breakfast was ok - cereal choice was very limited (miniature boxes of coco pops & cornflakes) - as no healthy cereal choice available I opted for eggs benedict which were well cooked but looked a bit lonely in the middle of a large plate with no attempt at a garnish - fresh orange juice would have been nice.”
