“When we arrived at the Royal hotel we were given a double room which had obviously not been refurbished, very small and a very cold bathroom. My husband visited the reception and explained our disappointment and we were immediately changed to a twin bedroom, recently refurbished, very cosy and warm. The receptionist did say it was a superior room. It was very comfortable. All staff were helpful and daily breakfast was tasty. A shame the exterior of the building has scaffolding round it but had no problems with noise.”
“We stayed on a bed and breakfast stay. Wide choice of buffet breakfast. Very fresh and loads no matter what time you went. Rooms ample instant heating from radiators and loads of hot water. Shower was good pressure with no temperature fluctuations. We had a bar meal for our last night, generous proportions and freshly cooked,. Excellent town position with quick access for ferry, train or buses.”
