“The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the whole property was very neat and clean. There is an area outside where they are doing construction currently, but it did not affect our stay at all. The breakfast was included and was very good. The property is very close to a DLR station which connected us to the Tower Hill station in just a few stops. From there we could explore the area around The London Tower and Tower Bridge, or take the underground anywhere we wanted to go in the city center. For the price, for two rooms for a family of four, it was very reasonable. I would stay here again if we visit London in the future.”

“An oasis of peace and calm with a genuine warm atmosphere missing from chain hotels.Very reasonably priced comfortable, clean room. Welcoming, elegant shared spaces and a beautiful courtyard garden. Plentiful continental breakfast buffet with boiled eggs and smoked salmon and more than the usual selections. Thank you for the upgrade on my second visit. Staff are very helpful and stored our luggage for a couple of hours before our train trip home. Right next to the Limehouse DLR via the marvellous Yurt cafe. There are 1&2 bedroom flats too. The best deal in London, a site of historical and spiritual interest with a beautiful chapel on site.”

It was once a cloistered community and it's possible to imagine it as a community supporting the local poor while offering a space for pastoral service and a place of retreat.
