“I like the quietness of the rooms at the back while enjoying a lively bar if I want to downstairs. There is also a small sitting area with a fire downstairs, though didnt use it.The location is good for shopping if you like to potter around small shops and I also like the proximity of Inverleith park and the Botanics. As I like to walk, the uphill trek to the city centre, access to main galleries etc is fine - if you don't like to walk perhaps less good an option for you Staff at the hotel are very well trained and offer a very pleasant experience to guests, everyone seems very willing to try to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Parking is tight but they move vehicles to accommodate residents and sorted this out for me at the start of my stay which was very helpful. Room very clean and comfortable.”

“This boutique hotel was completely renovated two years ago. Its public spaces (restaurant, pub, separate "library" sitting area) are warm and inviting. The outside patio looks like it would be great in good weather. The restaurant serves excellent dinners with a nice menu and wine selection. The pub serves great drinks, pub food, and breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The bed was great.”
