“Wonderful nights stay here, friendly staff, great entertainment, made to feel really welcome, we had a really great stay here and the breakfast was lovely! HANGOVER FROM HELL, all worth it. Thank you very much!”
“Cosy little pub and friendly staff and good value for money.”
“The Miners Arms is set in a picturesque village and the pub is run by very friendly people. For £35 a night this was excellent value. Fantastic cooked breakfast set you up for the days activity. We went on a days walk from the door.Good selection of ales / beers and the restaurant / bar food was quality too.The general vibe of the pub is warm and cosy, tastefully decorated too.The room had tea making facilities along with travel size portions of shower gel and shampoo. The huge warm bathroom was located down the corridor.Joy and Jordan were most helpful. I managed to leave a phone charger behind and Joy took the trouble to post it back to me.”
“The staff were friendly and were very helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast outstanding.”
“Booked for 'breakfast included' option and asked in advance about an early breakfast. Breakfast not available until 9am but no-one contacted us to let us know - therefore no breakfast actually 'included' nor was any alternative e.g.continental breakfast offered. The staff were pleasant enough but the booking was not what I thought I was booking. Very small 'double' room with 2 single beds which moved when you moved. Some decoration in bathroom in poor repair. Lots of steps up/down to bedrooms. Fancy coffee machine in room (we were loaned a kettle to make a cup of tea/coffee) but minimal supplies in room. Lovely fluffy dressing gowns and slippers for hiking along to bathroom in night but not really what we were looking for. Its always a shame when the staff are ok(pleasant enough) but the booking just isn't right.”
“We had our evening meal there which was definitely home made and delicious. I had lasagne which was extremely tasty”
“Very friendly staff and a very tasty breakfast - especially the tomato!”
“The Miners Arms is a friendly pub with rooms. The food is simple pub food, well cooked and good value. The beer is well kept, and the locals are very chatty. I went to the bar for dinner and a pint at 7 pm, and staggered off to my room at about midnight. As a base for a cheap and fun walking or cycling trip, it's near perfect.”
“The staff were great trying to see to the problems but the place just wasn't ready to have people staying there. The landlady said she had not had the place long there was signs of trying to improve the place but it wasn't finished ”
“The bar had been refurbished and they had a good range of beers”
