“Expected the evening menu to be special. Lighting in dining room was too well lit. Therefore went to the Mediterranean bar where menu was also very limited. There were not enough reception staff and throughout other areas of the ground floor staff continually asked if we were ok which felt over the top. We understood that the hotel had been recently refurbished and maybe the staff were new and it all needed to settle down?!”

“The hotel is a gorgeous period building with lovely lounge areas, open fires and nook and crannies. Very cosy! They catered really well for our dog - a bed, treats and bowls in the room. The hotel felt positively pet friendly, compared to some places we've been that accept dogs but then don't allow them in communal areas etc. The spa was lovely, very relaxing. The surrounding area is really nice to explore.”

“The staff were attentive, friendly, professional and excellent. The room was luxurious, spacious and cosy. The food at dinner, afternoon tea, breakfast and room service was delicious. Can’t fault it at all - slightly over expensive in places (£39 for Prosecco at dinner was the cheapest sparkling wine, but it was lovely) but worth the cost for the luxury. ”
