“The staff were brilliant as we are on the wrong side of 70 they took out bags to our room helped my wife with the stair lift, I was taken I'll and the staff even though they were really busy they took the time to get our luggage round to the car park and load it for us, if you want a Hotel that go's the extra mile to make your stay comfortable then the Lowther will take a spot of beating. “The bed was comfy and the breakfast was very good. It was a good place for us to stop overnight on the way up to York but wouldn't rate the location for leisure as there didn't appear much to do. The staff were very friendly (even at 11pm when we arrived).”

This is an extraordinary historical property; we had no real appreciation of the historical importance and development of Goole until staying here...although the views are hardly scenic they are fascinating and we would certainly book again and recommend to others.”
