“We stayed here as we booked the function marquee for my mums birthday. I booked a family room, apon arrival when we checked in the lady confirmed the amount of people in the room.. as it was a triple room we needed one more bed for our 3 year old. (2 adults & 2 children) When we got to our room (number 7) the bed was already put in the room and made. Our room was like a little bungalow separate from the main building, was really perfect for us and handy being on the ground floor with the kids. The room was lovely, so spacious too. It had a Double bed, single bed and a z bed. Tv, hairdryer, Towels, complimentary shower gel and soaps, bottles of water,kettle, tea/coffee etc. Very clean. We booked for breakfast in the morning, choices of cereal and/or a full cooked breakfast with tea/coffee and orange juice. Plus things like sausage or bacon sandwiches, can’t fault the food. A real great set up, everything you need. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend.”

“This was my fifth visit in the past few months. As always I was greeted with a smile, and as always every member of staff was helpful and cheerful. The room was spacious ,spotlessly clean with everything I needed. I would not want to stay anywhere else when visiting this area. The only problem I had was with taxis, and a friend of the owner, Robbie, who overheard my difficulty offered to take me to Wickford in time for my train next morning. What more could I ask for! will be back again in 3weeks time”

I had a very good meal, very quickly provided, and on arriving back at the Lodge after an evening out, they helped me to cope with the security entrance to the rooms. I will certainly return.”

“We arrived with friends for a quiet, social chat. - IT WAS JAZZ NIGHT! But, actually the dining room was far enough away so we did have a decent level of conversation. The Food was EXCELLENT, a massive menu to choose from. Room adequate with all necessary facilities.”
