“Checked out yesterday from a brilliant weekend in Edinburgh. I found this hotel on Booking.com and the photos on there did not do the room we stayed in justice. It was so much bigger than it looked. There was a lovely walk in shower as well as a bath, under floor heating and a super comfy bed with a built in TV. Amy the owner was most helpful from start to finish, happily putting up birthday banners in the room for me, and was very welcoming and friendly on our super early arrival, in which she had got our room ready for us which was perfect! Breakfast was not included, but I knew this on booking. But they had a little kitchen upstairs with complimentary cereals, croissants, and a fridge full of breakfast juice and soft drinks and snacks, which we did not expect at all and was an added luxury. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will most definitely be returning in the near future.”

“large comfortable room, the whole house has been refitted to a very high standard. The pub next door (the Canny Man), is fantastic, and the cafe nearby does a great Scottish breakfast. Fast(ish) frequent buses to city center are also good (but you need the correct change)”
