“Excellent location next to river, 10 minutes' walk from station and 5 minutes' from cathedral. Lots of places to eat nearby as well as the attached Wetherspoons pub (open from 7am and serves breakfasts). Friendly and helpful staff who happily sorted out a couple of minor glitches with my room. Clean, warm top-floor room with bath as well as shower, lots of hot water, comfortable bed, complimentary biscuits and drinking water. Room was remarkably quiet (double glazing) given that the road it faced is quite busy during the day. Between 8pm to 8am access to the hotel is by keycard only (there is a member of staff on duty throughout the night) so I felt very secure.”
