“Food, wine and spirits selections are excellent. Staff are very helpful and pleasant”
“Everything about the Inn at the Union Club was great. The facility is beautiful the room was lovely, the bed comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very attentive.”
“Excellent and attentive service. Old world atmosphere. Clean and comfortable. Be aware this is a business club facility and there is a (relaxed) dress code in effect for the dining rooms.”
“Location Waited at breakfast was great (Michael I think)”
“The room was well appointed, the bed was super comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Jonathan at the front desk for his "things to do" and "places to get drinks and dinner" suggestions. We really enjoyed our stay!”
“The location was very good - The room was small but quaint. The bed was very, very comfortable. Bathroom was exceptionally clean and towels were soft. It should be noted that the dress code can appear to be pompous but it really isn't - its more of a guideline than a rule. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok - could have been better but the coffee which is the best bit in the morning was awesome. There's also a free pot for you to enjoy throughout the day.”
“Jonathan, at the desk, was very helpful and accommodating.”
“It was like jumping back on time in an English house! Great position! Downtown, close to the best part of town and lots and lots of restaurants.”
“Central location within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.Full breakfast selections in the mornings from a creative menu made fresh to your liking :) special requests were no problem for chef and the team. Comfortable and pleasant 3 day stay for adults with easy access and location for city tours, eating out and sight seeing.”
“The Union Club is in an excellent position in downtown Victoria and is extremely interesting from an historical point of view. It has real character, unlike the bland establishments that are modern hotels. Indeed, whilst possessing all the normal facilities of a hotel, it is a long-established club and has a superb library etc. I would not advise it for those who are merely seeking the easy conveniences of 21st century living; but for travellers who like character and tradition, it is a gem.”
