“The good was that the hotel was situated very close to the ruins and the Colosseum on a dead end street with a Roman water fountain and ancient steps to close-by restaurants or to hail a taxi for further destinations. The underground feeling of the catacombs in the lobby added to the unique ancient Roman feel of this hotel. The rooftop patio was its overwhelming redeeming point with cocktail service in the evening and breakfast in the morning with sweeping views of the city's most notable buildings. Its proximity is outstanding and Chris should be commended for his outstanding service during our stay, along with the night manager and other bellboy (cannot recall name) who brought us late late night dinner on our last night. A unique stay in a convenient spot of the city.”

“Excellent location, easy walking distance to all the major sites, but set off the beaten track, so nice and secluded. As soon as you walk in, you know you are stepping in to history as they show you the crypt, just through the reception area. Great booking in process, hand over your passport, they do all the work as you enjoy a glass of wine and some fabulous home made tiramisu! Our room was just next door which they called a Luxury Studio Apartment, very nice, and it had cooking facilities if you are so inclined. My recommendation would be eat out, and take advice from the team, there are some great restaurants very close by. Rooftop breakfast, great buffet and amazingly attentive team looking after your every need. Fantastic place to also have a nice quiet drink in the late evening (before 11.00pm) then it's closed. If your a late party animal, stay in town!”
