“I loved the location - it was central to Alpine, which was in turn central to our day trip locations. I also thought the complimentary breakfast was excellent -- their homemade cheesy egg casserole was fresh and hot every morning in the lobby, along with homemade salsa, various hot bread items, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, and beverages. It was really a step way above normal complimentary hotel breakfasts!”

“Beds were wonderful. The hotel is very well restored and décor is exactly what you expect. Would absolutely stay here again. Restaurant and bar is really good. Great places to walk dog. Clean, safe and comfy place to stay. If you do go be sure to eat at the Reata Restaurant just a couple blocks away. Staff is amazing and food is too.”
“The location and the look of a restored hotel from an earlier time was very nice. The "main street" of old Alpine was interesting. The restaurant/bar was nice and it is a part of the main facility, so access is easy. Patio dining is available.”
“Lovely lounge, nice bar and restaurant- very charming building all in all with rustic authentic feel! Elemis toiletries were a nice touch. We had a divine dinner in the hotel’s restaurant and the bar was nice and light with quite a few pleasant patrons. Breakfast in the beautiful lounge / foyer area was very pretty. Good coffee- tasty homemade items! I would recommend to anyone visiting the area to stay here - just be aware it’s not as grand as I’m sure it once was.”
