“Everything provided within the George is of the very best quality - local Isle of Wight gin and the best fever tree tonic to match - Excellent cuisine - and a wine list to match at very acceptable prices. Amazing breakfast menu and even the best French yoghurt in the small glass bottles on the buffet table.”
“There is an imaginative chef in the kitchen here, with a wine list to match; and, unusually, there's a full vegetarian menu on request. It's too late in the year to enjoy the garden view over dinner but a lavish, delicious breakfast lets you see what you missed. The location could not be more convenient: the hotel is about 20 paces from the bijou ferry terminal. And the architecture of the building has a chaotic charm all its own. Without exception the staff were friendly, well trained and helpful. Our room, on the second floor, had views over rooftops and the Narrows. It was spacious, well equipped and the bed (with a down duvet and feather pillows) was extremely comfortable.”

“The most comfortable bed I've slept in! Room 28 (on 2nd floor) was a very lovely, well appointed, standard room but does overlook the ferry, which begins at 6am. The hotel staff were lovely - very knowledgeable and friendly.”
