“The Fort Garry Hotel is a beautiful old heritage building! The staff was always cheerful and helpful when we needed assistance! It is the perfect location for a trip on VIA Rail, as the Union Station is only a block away. It is very close to The Forks, as well. We would definitely return!”
“Every time we stay at the Fort Garry we are not disappointed. The comfy beds along with the old charm and character of the building, and the wonderful staff are why we continue to go back!”
“I did love the old pictures they had of the fort garry, and the fact that they kept a lot of the old lights, and furniture that was beautiful. The main lobby floor was squeaky clean. The hallway was huge and reminded me of the shining. The people were pleasant enough, a bit stuffy our check in girl. Our check out guy was really nice. We had a king bed suite and i found the bathtub super long..that was nice. The view was pretty if it wasn't raining but it was nice.”
“Comfortable bed. Beautiful lobby. Excellent restaurant in hotel. Courteous service. 2 computers in lobby to check email, free. Fast elevators. Close to Human Rights Museum (the destination of my visit). Delicious omelets cooked to order at breakfast. Alarm clock in room is easy to set. Wakeup call came when promised.”
“The bed alittle to soft but comfy. Feather pillows warning for those with allergy.staff promply replaced feather pillows on request. Great pool.great service.”
“Free pass to nearby yoga studio! Hot tub/pool connected to condo building so you get to interact with locals. Perfect location. Good WiFi.”
“Home of Ten Spa! The historic character is alluring...general service is more like a lower 4 star, but friendly and accommodating nonetheless and generally a great value. They put us into a quieter corner room, so that we would be less of a nuisance with the baby. Beds are very soft...”
“An old grand CPR hotel (very near ViaRail station): very elegant and relatively inexpensive. Centrally located for easy walking to Manitoba capitol buildings, The Forks, St-Boniface, and the Exchange District.”
“The fresh coffee in the morning. Order by phone or note on the door telling them what time you would like to get your coffee.”
“The hotel is maintained beautifully, with attention given to maintaining it's antique elegance. I loved the original doors and high ceiling in my room. It was nicely furnished, and I appreciated the fluffy comforter. The room service was excellent. The spa is very nice also.”
