“Our room was directly above the disco and speakers from the function lounge below, our TV could not be heard, all crockery and cutlery was vibrating, it was so bad, we were moved to a family room that was still above the function room but slightly quieter, it was a really bad experience but my previous visits to the Empress have always been good. It should clearly be stated before booking that these rooms were only suitable for late night revellers. It was a bad experience. The hotel manager tried to make amends with a free bottle of Prosecco!!”
“The friendly staff nothing was to much trouble if I needed anything. The breakfast was varied. The bar food had a wide selection of food and catered for all types of diet. There is music on a Saturday night. Although there is steps up to the hotel disabled people like myself can access the hotel by the basement restaurant.”
