“The staff were very friendly, good service. Our evening meal (part of a room, meal deal) was okay, the belly pork was ,meltingly tender, but the veg were a big disappointment, not seasoned and fresh carrots,cauli and mashed swede served with tinned whole baby corn, a little cabbage or broccoli would have been a better mix. We were not offered bread roll, although people on next table were?, was it an oversight or deliberate??? we did not comment on it. The meal on the whole was good although they used the same gravy for a beef and ale pie on my belly pork...hello...use a different gravy! (Having said that it was really nice gravy!!). The staff obviously try hard, and there were a few youngsters learning, so overall the service was great if in need of a little more training.....”
