The bed was extremely comfortable, loved the tub and bathroom, gorgeous view, top-notch TV options with Netflix and On Demand, the food was phenomenal, excellent location, service impeccable and whiskey selection unbelievable. “This was an old hunting lodge recently renovated by onsite owners. We stayed 3 nights and purposely wanted to stay in the tiny town of Aberlour. The Dowans is next door to the Aberlous Distillery (excellent tour). The restaurant serves local fare. The most fun and impressive room is the "whisky library". The Dowans is on the edge of town but it only take 10-15 minutes to stroll into town. Definitely will stay again if we get to Speyside.”

“The staff was extremely helpful. My wife had a medical emergency and they were so accommodating. We had to take a trip to the hospital in Elgin Saturday night and missed any opportunity to eat. The staff had arranged some sandwiches for us upon our return. In a very stressful situation, the staff went above and beyond to help us. We greatly thank them!”
