“The Cookie Jar is situated on a quiet, tree-lined street across from the castle entrance. Newly restored historical building with tasteful designer decor throughout. Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds and exceptionally nice onsuite. Lovely dining area overlooking tiered patios with plenty of comfortable seating, a summer house, and garden. New kennels for guests' dogs with a heated area to walk them and cushy bedding. Parking is on the street, however, a parking pass is issued for the duration of your stay. Working elevator! Attentive, accommodating, friendly staff. Fantastic breakfasts including Prosecca on the weekends. Everything a guest house should be, plus yummy cookies! What's not to like!”

“The Hotel had just opened, literally. The location was excellent, very close to the castle, yet in a quiet part of Alnwick. The room was brand new and very comfortable, biscuits were great. We had a superb breakfast, you must have the Craster Kippers, I did. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were friendly and informative.”
“Everything was perfect - Even down to the little things, like being about to park your car right outside the front door. The room was stunning! Everything from the shower to the bed linen was perfect. I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests and the towels were comfier than a long-term relationship. The staff are Incredibly helpful and offered great recommendations on where to eat on an evening. I will defiantly stay here again... After veiwing "The Chapel" Room i think every other hotel in the area will feel like a holiday Inn.”
