What guests loved the most
“Continental breakfast was as expected but the option to take a "doggy bag" stuffed with whatever we wanted from the breakfast bar was great. We made ham & cheese sandwiches and took a few tracker bars, some biscuits and a couple of apple juices. Saved us buying lunch later. The hotel was slightly pricey for what it was, but the doggy bag option brought it down to a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and the room and bathroom clean and well-presented. The noise level was low, despite our room being located directly above the pub's main room on a Saturday night. Great location for the Hay Festival (about 6 miles away, 13 min drive)”
“We were expected. Evening bar staff very helpful, got us plates and cutlery to eat our takeaway with. Breakfast, although self service, continental, was very plentiful. Morning staff made us very welcome, even told us to take some with us for our onward journey. Polystyrene cups to take a hot drink with us. Had a few nightcaps and played darts in the bar. Room was clean, bathroom lovely. Restful, peaceful nights sleep”
