What guests loved the most

“The staff were friendly and the bar had a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and the chef adventurous The beetroot and venison curry was great. Good starting point for local walking”

, Netherlands

“I liked the charity shops, waitrose and local churches. I did not venture very far because I am disabled with a visual impairment and hearing impairment. The Library and Christian bookshop were closed. The atmosphere and hygeine in the bar was dreadful. and the restaurant menu very narrow for wsomeone not into seafood. The takeaways were acceptable especially on Friday. Sunday lunch was dreadful! No British food available.”

, United Kingdom

“After a long journey it was good to have such a warm welcome. The Room was a good size and everything was very clean. The meal that night was excellent as was the breakfast.”

“The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. Also the staff worked hard and were always helpful.”

, United Kingdom

“The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had dinner there and the choice of menu was excellent. I had French onion soup which was lovely with extra crunchy croutons and lots of cheese, followed by Moroccan lamb with couscous salad - beautiful. Plenty of choices for breakfast - I had porridge followed by smoked salmon and scrambled egg - very good.”

, United Kingdom

“Lovely family room and great food for dinner and breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff.”

, United Kingdom

“spacious bedroom with comfortable beds, space for chaise longue and ample bathroom. also extra power points and anticipating 2 people in the room 2 chairs (i have often been to rooms with only one chair to be shared by two people). Struggled to finish the absolutely sumptious breakfast - there was so much and beautifully cooked - it kept us going until early evening”

, United Kingdom

“Friendly welcome - accommodated bicycles securely - good food.”

, United Kingdom

“Lovely building, and great location for exploring this area of Suffolk. We had a car so getting around was easy. Dinner was superb, the chef is to be complimented and if you stay - you really should have dinner in the restaurant!”
