“Fantastic find, it's an old beamed inn that has some of the accommodation above it plus some cottages a few doors along the street and all at an extremely good price. We arrived mid afternoon and arranged to meet a local friend for a catchup in the bar which was relatively empty and had a lovely log fire burning. We were staying to attend a local surprise birthday so did not have a chance to sample the dining options but did have an excellent home made scotch egg bar snack. The bar could not have been different with lots of clients eating and drinking, it was a lovely atmosphere. Room was modern and well finished (loved the window shutters and wet room shower for example) and full English breakfast - sourced from local butcher - was in a lovely sunlit conservatory.”
