“The Angel is really lovely and feels friendly and welcoming from the moment you step inside. The staff were friendly and attentive but not too intrusive. Room was perfect for a nights stay and I plan to go back again soon. Restaurant was quiet when I had dinner but the food was good with a decent enough menu but nothing to special. However the pudding was to die for! A little pricy but I couldn’t be bothered to wander any further after a long day. Breakfast was included in my charge and it was fabulous. Good products cooked well to order. That alone was worth the visit.”

“Quality of the bed linen and comfort of the bed was super. Lovely breakfast and really helpful staff. Given limited mobility at the moment was relieved to be able to park right outside the front door. The rooms were all in the rear of the pub, in what would have been the car park.”

“Absolutely lovely room. Not huge but beautifully decorated, modern and very very clean. Bed was so comfortable! Lovely bathroom which was spotless. Hairdryer, Iron and Ironing Board in room. Only problem with our room (room 25) was that plug socket was too far away from hairdryer and so I couldn't see to dry my hair in the mirror. Would suggest moving mirror to over the refreshments tray which has the socket above it. Room was lovely and warm and very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic - good selection of cereals and breads and a choice of cooked breakfasts. Plenty of it. Staff were all absolutely lovely and I would definitely stay there again but wouldn't eat evening meal (see 'What didn't you like' section below).”
