“Our best stay in Sri Lanka. Fantastic totally relaxed atmosphere in a luscious garden which had abundant wildlife. The manor is very homely and the staff is very kind. One of the best things was that almost all food was prepared with fresh ingredients from the garden. Especially the fruit was superb!! We happily extended our stay here.”

“The pool was amazing, set in beautiful bush. We had a delicious meal prepared especially for us which we ate in the garden, a very special occasion. The room was spacious and very clean. Staff were very obliging and friendly. Was interesting talking to the owner and finding out about his work and the history of the place.”

“This property is beautiful. Stunning heritage house with amazing gardens and pool. The staff are so friendly and accomodating. The breakfast is delicious (I highly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast- the dhal is one of the best I have ever eaten ). Our room was huge. The house is situated a short drive or cheap tuk tuk drive away from the busy beach and was so nice to get to relax when we got back each evening. The staff even set us up a lovely dinner in the garden. I would highly recommend.”

“Everything! Faultless staff and service provided, they couldn't do enough for you. Sometimes felt like you were staying in your own private villa, beautiful infinity pool. We stayed in the premier suite and would highly recommend it. Massive 4 poster bed! Surrounded by nature, waking up to the sounds of peacocks, monkeys and exploring the coconuts groves with lizards and birds everywhere. Total paradise. We stayed for 6 nights and didn't want to leave. The best breakfast! Go for the Sri Lankan-amazing Dahl and coconut sambal with coconut rotis.”

There's acres and acres to freely roam around and explore.. They even let us pick our own vegetables from the organic garden..Dont miss a dip in their cool turqoise pool..The food was great and the staff were attentive..Thanks for a lovely time..”

“It is a wonderful location with the Unawatuna Beach in walking distance. The tranquil setting of Thalpe Walawwa helped us properly relax and unwind. The Pool is very pretty and we spent hours chilling by its side.Overall, It was so quiet and peaceful .. Loved the food and the staff were very friendly. My partner and I were upgraded to a deluxe suite in the garden villa on arrival. It was a wonderful holiday.”

“We loved the quite location (99% of the beach hotels in the area are noisy because of the busy road), surrended by the palm trees. We appreciated the intimacy provided by the location as well as the lovely swimming pool. We were woken up every mornings by the birds song (peacok!) and appreciated the excellent breakfast. We also stayed twice for the dinner/lunch and the food was excellent. The staff was discreet and very helpful. The house is a beautiful house built about 70 years ago on a hill, so you are not disturbe by any noise (train or road). It has a lot of charme and personality. We rented a scooter so we were really independent. The closest beach is beautiful but not ideal to swim, with the scooter, we were able to reach Unawatuna beach in only 10 minutes.”

“有年头的私家花园，花园很大！房间不多，安静私密，陈设很优雅有历史感。虽然可见的员工不多，但服务非常热情周到。泳池不大，因为只有我们自己人，所以孩子和大人都游的很开心。大人们在花园里游览，酒店经理热情地介绍主人家家传的老爷车、马车，园子里自给自足的蔬菜水果。早餐很丰富很新鲜！要不是为了满足孩子们玩海的愿望，我真不想搬离，而愿意多住一晚。听说我们想靠近海边，经理还帮我们介绍了一家很不错的海边Hotel，并请朋友接送我们和行李。”
