“The rooms had a nautical theme, which was done in excellent taste - not tacky in the slightest. The whole hotel has been fitted out in an eclectic manner which made it all the more special. We liked the place so much we stayed two nights. The rooms we had were very well sound proofed. The breakfast is excellent with a very good selection. We would like to make a special mention of a staff member called Nerissa, both times we had breakfast she was most attentive and considerate of our needs. We ate dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel, it served up very good meals and the staff were helpful and pleasant.”

“The rooms were really cosy but classy and slightly quirky (the decor is quite dark, but this was nice because at this time of year its light nearly all night, so it made it easier to get into sleep mode, and I imagine in the winter it would be really cosy). The beds are comfortable, the staff are super helpful and genuinely nice, and the breakfast was good. I ate at the restaurant one night, and the food there was also good. The hotel is really central, near the river, and next to a very pretty garden square with lots of outdoor seating. I would definitely go back again.”
“The breakfast included with the room is truly amazing, from smoked salmon, meats, eggs, various breads, local cheese, waffles, yogurt, fruit, all fresh, fresh and fresher! Beautiful courtyard eating area, clean and very pleasing to the eye. The hotel is a wonderful 1895 establishment for seamen and renovated to high standards while retaining the character. Helpful staff at reception aarea.”
