What guests loved the most

“I wanted to try this place out as they accommodate dogs which may be useful for future leisure visits. The feedback didn't seem that great but it really is misleading. I had a ground floor room that was clean, spacious and comfortable. The pub is lovely and the breakfast outstanding. I had a low season very good deal so fantastic value for money, but I'll be returning with my wife and our dogs (the rooms are motel type rooms, and as such guests with dogs would not effect those without dogs.”

“Bed was ok, but the fire instructions are on the back of the door, where coat hooks are, hang a coat forget about instructions, bedroom venetian blinds need repairing, one bulb out in bathroom, on patio, the two sails seperating rooms broken or damaged and the wooden walk way near stairs loose”

“Room was clean & tidy although was very warm ,tried controlling the heating without success. Breakfast was ok , but certainly would not eat in the restaurant for lunch or dinner again.The tables were sticky and the floor needed a sweep,I know that the area is popular with walkers but a broom put round on a regular would make a difference.Some of the outside courtyard furniture was broken and the lighting did not work was a good job we took a torch as access to our room was up a very step flight of stairs.If you want to eat locally in the evening try the The Anchor Pub just along the road it was very clean and welcoming with a great selection of good food.”

“Excellent room clean comfortable. Lovely bathroom and shower. Peaceful location. Great food both evening meal and breakfast. Best mushrooms I have eaten in years. Warm and friendly staff.”

“Friendly, helpful staff. Room and bathroom very spacious. Own patio area, table and chairs, perfect for sitting out in the good weather we enjoyed during our all too short stay. Fantastic food - all very fresh, well cooked and presented.”

“The accommodation was first rate . Superb bathroom , comfortable bed. Good clothing hanging space. The was food excellent and good value especially the crab and lobster dishes [ excellent value]. Staff were attentive and courteous. The only down side was the wi-fi access , acceptable in the bar ,lousy in the dining room, totally absent in the accommodation. I realise that the local internet access is poor but not to have internet access [to keep in touch with the kids] in this day and age , from rooms is not acceptable. I have holidayed in the back of beyond in the Scottish Highlands with far better internet access in our rooms. Apart from the need to rectify the internal Wi fi situation , the overall accommodation , food and experience was first rate”
