“The canyon is absolutely beautiful all the way in, which was 12 miles. A little creek flows thru the back and is audible. On the road there is a lot of climbing and curves so bad weather would be very 'iffy'. The lodge itself is lovely, Frank Lloyed Wright from the 30's, and the rooms were very nice size with full amenities---- except breakfast in the lodge.”
“The beds were super comfortable. The room was very clean and tidy, beautiful views. The staff was amazing, helping with anything we needed. Hotel is very cozy and comfortable. The restaurant across the street was very good, omg the vanilla butter for breakfast was heavenly! This is our new getaway spot in the Black Hills. Far enough away from town, beautiful location. Hidden gem!”

“The lodge is in a beautiful site and the decor was very attractive. We wish we could have stayed longer in the beautiful Spearfish Canyon. We were 3 adults and the room worked fine. It was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was right across the street and they had a nice breakfast buffet--not included in the price of the room, but we had a bargain price for our room.”
“This is a fantastic place for hiking, sitting outside by the creek or in the Lodge itself. The best and most comfortable place in which l have ever stayed! I have had the pleasure of staying here previously and shall return. The drive into and out of the canyon is absolutely breathtaking.....and I am not just saying that-check it out!!”
“The location was beautiful. It was situated about half way into the canyon, next to a crystal clear creek. The lodge was excellent. It is open all year round with many things to do, but just relaxation in the quiet of the forest is most appealing!”
