“It was peaceful and quiet. The staff was very friendly. We felt safe staying there. It was within driving distance of a bird sanctuary. There was a little kitchen in the room and free coffee in the reception area in the morning.”
“We were given a large suite with full kitchen and private bedroom. There was ample parking behind the building. The Simpson is strategically located between Last Mountain National Wildlife Area with abundant bird life and wonderful Manitou Beach with its salt lake and hot baths. It's a unique find for anyone driving around central Saskatchewan. Just be prepared for the occasional rough edge as this place has been there for decades.”

“Although an older hotel and nothing fancy, very comfortable. Was looking for a nice warm room, and quite night and was perfect. Great value. Had a full kitchen, fully furnished and clean. Bar down stairs was visited by locals, quiet and friendly. Stair case upstairs is a bit challenging if you were to have trouble with stairs but hand rail in place. Hotel is situated in a quiet older town, a bit decayed but has had a long and successful life. Perhaps best days are in the past but still to be enjoyed. Jean and Helen the owners are great, friendly and available. Free coffee in morning...and friendly chat.”
