“The owner and his family are very attentive and kind. The location is very nice, on the hills of Furi. A nearby cable-car station connects to Zermatt, and the main attractions of the area (Gornergrat and the "Glacier Paradise"). The Hotel restaurant serves excellent local food.”
“Perfect location at the mountain. Much better than in busy and touristy Zermatt, wcich is a nice walk down (about 1 hour) and a 5 minute lift back to the mountain. Extremely friendly family and staff, we felt very welcome. Good suggestions on walks and other things to do. Keeping in mind the weather conditions. We rented kicking bikes (mountain stepps) and took them on the lift to the top for a rough and adventures ride down.”
“Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful interior. Very comfortable beds and wonderful facilities. Restaurant and bar were welcoming and atmospheric. The hotel was clean and luxurious. All facilities were of the highest standard. I have stayed in many luxury chalets and several upmarket mountain spa hotels - the Silvana lived up to the best of my previous experiences. The food was authentic, very high quality and memorable. The staff were all helpful and welcoming. My son and I felt we had stayed with a family who truly enjoyed looking after their guests.”

“Very friendly personnel, helpful and professional. The location is simply great, away from the snobbish Zermatt, but still close enough if really needed. Hiking trails start directly from the hotel. The food is excellent, far better than the MSG-laced typical Swiss fare. On top of that - we've been dumb enough to arrive one day early, during peak season, and the owner went through quite some pain to accommodate us - thank you! Strongly recommended!”
