The pub/restaurant was very nice aesthetically, but it could have been made cosier with slightly lower/different lighting. We stayed in mid November and it was very quiet, no need to worry about getting a table.”

“The Saracens Head is a small, intimate, friendly hotel. The bedroom we had was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Small critism, and they are small, a soap dish or shower caddie in the shower would be an advantage and the bedside lights were dim accentuated by the wings of our wonderful headboard. The staff make all the difference as nothing appeared too much trouble for them and they worked well as a team. Also our Sproker Spaniel was made very welcome and was able to join us to eat although not in the carpeted restaurant.”

“We stayed with our two dogs, they were as welcome as we were. Food was good and rooms very clean and well decorated, you wouldn't know dogs stayed in them.”
