“A very pleasant surprise which we used as a one night stop on a long journey back from holiday. I would certainly stay again. The room was comfortable, with a good quality mattress and comfy pillows. It had a lovely bathroom with a big bath - always welcome. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is quite a big pub with rooms. There are several separate eating and relaxing areas and it is nicely presented. The breakfast was very good.”

The noise in our room was too loud at bedtime so we asked the staff what they could do and they very quickly found another room for us to stay in which was beautiful and quiet. “Stayed here before and this is the reason we came back, very nice and comfortable rooms and also quiet. The rooms are a novel theme, the bar area is very good, and there are pubs across the way which also offer food, these are within walking distance if you fancy an alcoholic drink elsewhere. Nothing to complain about at all ,very pleasant staff and a pleasant stay.”
