“Clean. Arrived at 2045, restaurant due to close at 2100. Told that last orders were at 2045..so no food available; helpful. Beds had hard mattresses with large protruding springs, uncomfortable. Twin room was very large as was the en suite bathroom. The ‘bar’ was lit by fluorescent lights, very sterile atmosphere,. The Sandpiper is a motel rather than hotel with a slightly tired, dated decor but clean.”

“We were between Sheffield and chesterfield and could get into Derbyshire easily. The hotel was clean and warm. Food was available in the restaurant if you needed this. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Parking on site was a bonus and safe.”
“The staff absolutely made it for me. To start, on arrival, the receptionist, Michelle, I believe, was extremely welcoming and helpful. I was on my own and decided to head to the bar and found the best company for an hour or so with John and (I think his name was Alan but I referred to him as Fred as that was the name he said and it stuck) two terrific guys who are a huge bonus to your hotel. As well as that, the room was big, with a lovely comfy bed - I will definitely be returning should I need somewhere local again. Many thanks guys :)”
“Best bath sheets we have ever had in any hotel home or abroad. Plenty of storage space. Kenny and all staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a good breakfast. Decent size room. Easy access from motorway and convenient for us visiting family.”
