“I travelled to Naples at the beginning of a 2-week trip to Italy with a friend. We only stayed at the San Francesco al Monte for one night (our first night of the trip), but we were very happy with our quick visit. The reception staff were very helpful - gave us a map with detailed walking and sightseeing tips, called us a taxi, answered several questions -- all very friendly, helpful and prompt. Our room was spacious and clean with an incredible view of the city and Vesuvious. We really enjoyed breakfast (lots of options) and the view from the restaurant.”
“Cloistered rooms, secure, easy access to two funiculars gets you down to Chiaia and city center and up to Vomero and Castle St Elmo easy and cheap, breakfast on the patio, view at dusk and city lights.”
“The building is an old monastery with a superb view of the gulf and the Vesuvius. We wandered around the hotel in a maze-like set of corridors and ancient rooms. Fascinating and beautiful. Also, breakfast is served in a splendid room with amazing views and it was rather well garnished, especially for Italian standards. The staff was also very nice and fun.”
“The room was lovely with the most amazing view of Naples. The bed was extra comfy and the air conditioning was really quiet. The shower was the best shower we had our entire holiday!”
